Malta Community Chest Fund

On the occasion of Baker Tilly International’s EMEA Regional Conference held in Malta during May 2012, Baker Tilly International held its opening reception for delegates and guests at the Presidential Palace in Valletta. Very few private functions are afforded the permission to hold an event at such a prestigious venue. Attendees were also given private tours of certain rooms of the Presidential Palace, amongst which the famous tapestry chamber, the throne room, the ambassadors’ room and others.

To thank and honour the President of Malta for such gesture, Baker Tilly International presented a generous donation to the Malta Community Chest Fund, a charitable institution of which the President is the chairman.

The Malta Community Chest Fund helps philanthropic institutions and more importantly, the individuals with different needs. The Malta Community Chest Fund does not receive any funding from the Government. However, throughout the year, various activities such as balls and concerts are organised by the Malta Community Chest Fund and also by the Office of The President to raise funds. The Malta Community Chest Fund also relies on the generosity of corporate companies and the general public for the collection of money.
